At Three Farms Island we are starting a new small project.
A way to help us plant new olive trees, support our land and create a real connection with Sicily.
With a small annual contribution, we can plant a young olive tree here at our Farm and dedicate it with your name, the name of someone special, a family name, or a name connected with an important moment in your life.
It can be a gift, a memory, a new beginning or simply a way to create a personal connection with Sicily.
The contribution will also support the work of MY LOCAL SOLE, an organization working on projects connected with Sicily, its territory, local development, promotion and digitalization.
This is not about buying a tree.
It is about helping something new to grow.
How it works
If you decide to take part, we will plant a young olive tree here at Three Farms Island.
You can choose the name that we will write on a small wooden tag and place on the tree.
Once the tree is planted, we will send you:
- a photo of your olive tree;
- a digital certificate with the name and planting year;
- a small printed card sent directly from Sicily.
Your contribution also helps us take care of the young tree during its first important years of life.
A meaningful gift
You can also plant an olive tree in the name of someone else.
It can be for a birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, a new baby, in memory of somebody, or simply as a special connection with Sicily.
We will prepare the certificate and the card with the name you choose.
It is a different kind of gift.
The card arrives at home, but the real gift stays here in Sicily and continues growing.
Your contribution supports something bigger
The small annual contribution connected with this project will support MY LOCAL SOLE and its work in Sicily.
The organization develops projects connected with local and rural development, promotion of Sicily, communication and digitalization, helping local realities become more visible and creating new connections between Sicily and Italian and Sicilian communities around the world.
For us, planting a new olive tree is a simple but real way to represent this mission.
Something new is planted in the Sicilian soil today, while at the same time helping ideas, connections and opportunities grow around our Island.

The first three years
A young olive tree needs time.
It needs to establish its roots, adapt to the soil and slowly become stronger.
For this reason, the person who helped us plant the tree will have priority to continue supporting the same tree during its first three years.
There is no automatic subscription and no obligation.
Every year we will contact you and simply ask if you would like to continue supporting your tree for another year.
Year One
We plant your young olive tree and give it its name.
Year Two
The tree continues growing and establishing its roots in our soil.
Year Three
The olive tree becomes stronger and continues its life here at the Farm.
Nature has its own timing, and we respect it.
When the tree starts producing
One day your young olive tree will begin to give us its first olives.
We cannot promise exactly when this will happen or how much it will produce.
Every tree is different and every season is different.
When that moment comes, the program will naturally evolve together with the tree.
Our idea is to begin sharing something connected with its production with the people who supported it during its first years.
At the beginning this could be some Sicilian olives in brine or, later, a small quantity of olive oil, depending on the tree and on the harvest.
As production develops, we will see together year by year what the Farm can prepare and share, also considering the preparation and shipment from Sicily.
We will explain the available options when the time comes.
Stay connected with your tree
Planting the tree is also a way to stay connected with us and with the Farm.
You can follow the seasons, our work in the fields, the harvests and the different activities we do during the year through our newsletter and Farm updates.
We also organize online Sicilian cooking classes directly from our Farm.
They are a nice way to meet each other, cook together and stay connected with Sicily even when you are far away.
And of course, if one day you come to Sicily, you are always welcome to contact us and visit your olive tree in person.
Interested in planting an olive tree with us?
This is still a small and personal project.
For the moment, we prefer to speak directly with the people who are really interested and explain how it works personally.
During the first years, the project works through a small annual contribution supporting MY LOCAL SOLE and its work in Sicily. As the tree grows and begins producing, the program will evolve with it.
At the same time, here at Three Farms Island we will plant a young olive tree dedicated with the name you choose and take care of it as it grows.
