March 5th – Day One
11:30 – Meeting in Noto
The group meets in Noto and departs together toward the Social Kitchen located in the countryside.
Harvest and Cooking Class
Upon arrival, we participate in a guided harvest of seasonal ingredients from the garden. These products will be used during a hands-on cooking class to prepare a Sicilian-style buffet lunch. The meal is accompanied by a selection of local natural and organic wines.
14:00 – Lunch
Shared buffet lunch prepared during the cooking class.
16:00 – Coffee Break and dessert time with a selection of Typical Sicilian dessert
A short pause to relax and enjoy refreshments. During the break, we will also talk about traditional Sicilian recipes, local culinary customs, and the cultural background of the dishes prepared during the workshop.
18:30 – Return to Noto
Transfer back to the meeting point in Noto.
March 6th – Day Two
09:30 – Departure for Baulì Forest
We leave Noto in the morning and travel to the Baulì Forest.
Nature Walk with Guide
A naturalistic guide leads a walk focused on native flora, fauna, and edible wild herbs. Participants learn to recognize various species and understand their ecological context.
13:30 – Lunch in Buccheri
Lunch in a local osteria in the small mountain town of Buccheri, featuring traditional dishes of the area.
15:30 – Transfer to Palazzolo Acreide
Short drive (approx. 30 minutes) to Palazzolo Acreide.
Archaeological Visit
Guided visit to the archaeological area, including its ancient structures and historical points of interest.
18:00 – Visit of the Baroque Town Center
Walking tour through the historical center of Palazzolo Acreide, known for its Baroque architecture.
19:00 – Return to Noto
Transfer back to the meeting point.
March 7th – Day Three
10:00 – Transfer to Marilena’s Farm
Departure from Noto toward a rural family-run farm.
11:00 – Cooking Class with Marilena
Hands-on lesson focused on preparing traditional Sicilian-style pizzas, using local ingredients and the farm’s wood-fired oven.
15:00 – Transfer to Castelluccio
Travel to the Archaeological Area of Castelluccio to explore its prehistoric necropolis and ancient settlement
16:00 – Visit to the Monumental Carob Tree and old Mill Museum
We continue to a monumental 2,000-year-old carob tree, an impressive natural landmark of the region and the old mill Museum located in the Ispica area
18:00 – Return to Noto
Transfer back to town.
March 8th – Day Four
10:00 – Breakfast at Pietro’s Bakery
A relaxed breakfast featuring freshly baked local products.
11:00 – Visit to the Eloro Archaeological Site
Guided visit to the Eloro ruins, located near the coastline. During the walk, participants can also gather wild sea fennel, characteristic of this coastal environment.
14:00 – Transfer to the Farm Kitchen Lab
Return to the countryside for a final cooking class.
Final Cooking Session and Dinner
A collaborative preparation of the closing meal of the workshop, using ingredients collected throughout the day.
20:00 – Return to Noto
Transfer back to Noto to conclude the program.
